The Kansas City Chiefs beat the devil out of the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 23rd 27 – 24. What a shocker!!!

So proud of my home town homies. Made a special BBQ Rib dinner to celebrate the victory.

Baby Back Ribs
1. Do the Wet rub then Dry rub
2. Wet Rub can include 1 tablespoon each of soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke, rub in all in real good
3. Next the Dry Rub can include Sugar, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, no more than a 1/2 cup of dry rub, rub in all real good and marinate – your call, at least 15 minutes
4. Throw in oven or grill outside, the secret to good ribs is more technique than ingredients

IT WAS ONLY PRE-SEASON

It was only Pre-Season… it was only Pre-Season. I keep telling myself that, But the truth is, The Chiefs did not look very good at all in their 44-14 loss to the Seahawks. Why Oh Why did they pay Matt Cassel all that money before he had the chance to prove himself as an elite NFL starter. In all fairness, the only receiver that showed up to play was Dexter McCluster. But even with all the dropped passes, I just can’t get exited about Cassel’s performance. I was impressed with rookie running back Nate Eachus. I’d like to see him rush for 98 yards against Atlanta on September 9^th, (not gonna happen). All in all, the most impressive thing about the game was the performance of Seattle Quarter Back Russell Wilson, Man can that guy play. It’s a good thing we don’t have to play the Seahawks during the regular season. In fact, it’s a good thing the Chiefs have a relatively easy schedule this year because they did not look good at all in their last two Pre-Season games. But then again, thank God, It was only Pre-Season… only Pre-Season…only…Pre..Season…Zzz.

What the hell? Why is Dwayne Bowe the 2nd highest paid wide receiver?

After holding out for one week, Dwayne Bowe just signed a 1 year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs for a reported 9,515,000. This makes him the second highest paid wide receiver in the league.

I like the guy and I’m, glad he plays for my favorite team, but there is no way you can tell me that Dwayne Bowe is worth more than players like Wes Welker, Brandon Marshall or Larry Fitzgerald. If you are a true Chiefs fan like me, you would be rather pissed.

I mean, usually, the Chiefs are known for being the Cheaps. They have been known for trying to get their best player to sign a contract for much less than that player is worth, ( Thanks a lot Carl Peterson). This foolish strategy would always cause a future Hall-Of-Famer to stay away from camp until the end of Pre-Season. And in effect, giving the Chiefs a slow start. But in this case, even though the Chiefs got a bit too frivolous,

My anger is pointed at Dwayne Bowe. I mean, what a greedy bastard. If he were a true warrior, he would have taken the 6.5 mil and sprinted to the ST. Joe Training Facility as fast as his mediocre speed could get him. Because he chose the wrong route, the Chiefs are two weeks behind where they should be, in preparing for the season. That can hurt, and it makes all of us here at Big- Bens- Brag mad.
